Postdoctoral Research Associate Position
The Pathak Lab at IISER Berhampur is inviting applications for highly motivated postdoctoral candidates who are interested in the area of synthesis of organic-inorganic hybrid materials, biological chemistry, bioconjugate chemistry, and nanomedicine under the DST-SERB National Post Doctoral Fellowship (N-PDF) scheme. Interested candidates should contact Dr. Pathak with the latest CV along with the one-page research statement describing the applicant’s research interests and why they wish to join the Pathak Lab.
 

Graduate Student/Ph.D. Position
Currently, two Ph.D. positions are available in The Pathak Lab at IISER Berhampur. To indicate your interest, please send your CV, together with a one-page research statement to Dr. Pathak. Interested and eligible candidates should visit the IISER Ph.D. admission webpage periodically to know about the dates and procedures for application.
Eligibility: A prospective candidate should have completed a postgraduate programme (M.S./M.Sc./M.Tech./MBBS) in a discipline relevant to her/his choice of the Ph.D. programme along with qualifying a national entrance exam. Students should have a valid National level examination like National Eligibility Test (NET)/GATE/UGC-JRF/CSIR-JRF/DBT (JRF A category)/ICMR (JRF category I)/NET-LS/INSPIRE-Ph.D./Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship/JGEEBILS or any other recognized score is mandatory. The certificate/fellowship MUST be valid at the time of admission.
 

Research Opportunity for Undergraduate Students
The Pathak Lab is also looking for highly motivated undergraduates majoring/minor in Chemistry or Biology and related fields to work on summer/semester-long projects. These projects will typically involve the hands-on work on the synthesis of organic-inorganic hybrid molecules, preparation of nanoparticle, and mammalian cell culture.
 

Internships Opportunity
We also welcome students from other Institutes who are interested to do a short-term internship during the semester break. Interested candidates should contact Dr. Pathak with latest CV and a one-page research plan of what you wish to do during the internship.
